Macbeth Costume.

Making project: creating Eloise Kazan’s design for the Gentlewoman from the Opera De Bellas Artes, Mexican National Opera.

Starting the Costuming Process.

Model.

I really wanted to do Shakespearean Theatre justice and cast a male as my Gentlewoman model.

Specification.

A specification allowed me to view all the elements of the costume in one page, making sure I had everything I needed and had an technical drawing of the garment.

Research

Please feel free to contact me if you would like to see them in detail, or would like to view the file.

The Pattern…

Bodice.

The bodice was cut using reference from Norah Waugh, Janet Arnold and Stephanie Selmayr. This is final pattern after the first fitting process.

The pattern was produced using historical references and cutting on the stand.
